SUU gets sweeped by Texas Pan-American

This weekend the SUU baseball team played great but the final scores didnt show how great they truely did. The first game Kelsey Outram had a strong outing, he  gave up just four hits while striking out five through six scoreless innings. He pitched all 9 innings only giving up one run. SUU's bats didnt show up that game with a final score of them losing 1-0.  They were suppose to play a double header on Saturday and the two games were rained out and moved to Sunday. The first game SUU was up 5 to 1 at the end of the 5th inning but there pitching started to struggle while Texas-Pan American's bats became hot.  Texas scored 9 runs all together in the 6th,7th, and 8th while SUU was held to zero runs. the final score was 10 to 5. In the third and final game, Chase Rezac pitched well throwing 6 innings and giving up zero runs. They lost the game 5 to 6 but SUU's bats started to come alive. Tyson Weber and Bryson Kenolio hit the teams first homeruns. Southern Utah continues its travel this week with a visit to Hawai'i Pacific. The Thunderbirds will face teh Sea Warriors in a four-game series set to begin Thursday at 9pm (MST)
